As the internet becomes a more dominate communication medium I am spending more and more time designing for it. I design custom sites for every client with the focus on the best way to reach each client's target audience. I have experience designing for both organizations with thousands of employees and local small businesses. I have worked as part of larger creative groups as well as independently dealing with clients one-on-one.
I am an avid industry researcher always looking for the newest and best practices for web design. I currently design all of my sites in Photoshop and have created a custom grid system created to streamline my process to save time and money. I begin my design process by researching what is the best user interface (UI) to reach the target market as well as what kind of user experience (UX) should be created. I've had a lot of success focusing my design efforts around a larger marketing philosophy. Is this design going to be an effective way to reach the target audience?
I design using the following resources and software:
Adobe Photoshop (The standard for professional design)
Adobe Illustrator (Logo creation and vector artwork)
Flash (For interactive web elements)
Kuler (I love this color palette generator)
Adobe InDesign (vector shapes with layer effects)
Professional Photographers (can be scheduled for photoshoots)

I develop interactive websites with a strong focus on design aesthetics. I strive to make sure my sites are highly functional, interactive and above all appeal to the targeted users. My designs have been featured on national web design websites and I am currently assisting with beta testing on a new web development platform that has immense development capabilities (sorry, not allowed to say just yet).
I develop using the following coding languages and software:
CSS
XHTML
PHP
Flash
Javascript
Photoshop
Coda
Dreamweaver
Flash Catalyst

There are hundreds of thousands of businesses out there and most work in a handful of industries. How will your company stand out? The worst thing that can happen is to be lost in the clutter. Smart business owners know that a company's branding most be an accurate reflection of their business ideals, practices and appeal to their audience. I design logos and identity packages for clients to do just that.
I began my design career at the Herald-Sun newspaper, a Durham, NC staple for over 100 years. I was able to learn about print design and layout, film printing, color separationss, correct color mixing, paper quality, and print capabilities all in very fast paced business environment.
Since then my print focus has shifted to higher-end custom design projects including brochures, calendars, posters, event promotion collateral and trade show displays. I've design print marketing materials for both Duke Children's Hospital and UNC Healthcare to aid their annual fund raising efforts.
I design print materials using the following software:
Adobe InDesign
Adobe Photoshop
Adobe Illustrator
Adobe Acrobat Professional
I currently offer the following print solutions:
Brochures
